Music

Hamburg junior high students are busy rehearsing music for our
first concert
on October 26th. That concert is the jr. high corner
conference vocal
festival which will be held in Stanton.
High School chorus members have been very busy this year
already. The group
has performed the Star Spangled Banner at two volleyball games, and
will
continue to sing at future games. We also have several
soloists that will
perform this year. Amy Brennan and Rebecca Sears have
performed the
National Anthem at the first two home football games. They
did a great job!
I would like to thank all of the high school chorus members for
giving their
time and talents for the variety show on Popcorn Day. We were
able to raise
over $500 for the Colonial Theater.
Right now we are starting to rehearse music for the Corner
Conference
Festival on November 16th. We're also holding swing choir
auditions and
hope to perform at a festival at Peru State College.
I will end with some exciting news: Amy Brennan and
William Green were
selected to perform in New York City next summer with the Southwest
Iowa
Touring Honor Choir. CONGRATULATIONS!!
I'm looking forward to a great year. If you have any
concerns or questions,
please give me a call.
